VinoKado > FAQ

  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS / ASSISTANCE
Where are your FAQ questions and answers?
VinoKado has opened this new Website in March 2004. We have studied many E-commerce Websites. We have tried to come up with something simple and users friendly. The FAQ section will therefore be gradually updated... when your questions arise. Don't be surprised not to see much for the time being.
Once my cellar has been equiped, what kind of accessories do I need to taste wine?
For a good start in the art of wine tasting, you will require : a corkscrew to open the bottles, a wine thermometer to check the temperature of wines, a carafe to oxygenate the young wines or to decant the old ones and tasting glasses. You can find all these basic accessories and more on the website www.vinokado.com !
What shall be done in case of delivery problem ?
The signature of the delivery note is an evidence that the goods have been delivered in a good state. If you have any doubt, do not hesitate to make reserves before signing and send us an e-mail to info@vinokado.com
Why is it necessary to use specific glasses to taste wine ?
The ideal tasting glass has a stem (to avoid warming the wine while holding it), an oval form with the edge narrowing slightly (to allow a better concentration of the perfumes of the wine).
How to taste wine ?
The room should be clear, preferably with natural light, without interference of smells like tobacco or flowers. A white tablecloth will enhance the colour of the wine.
What is the ideal temperature to serve wine ?
Whites and Rosés will be at their best at a low temperature (between 8 and 12°C). Red wines should be served "chambrés", that is at room temperature (between 15 and 18°C).
